The "Ferrari" team faced significant setbacks during the qualifying session of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc finished ninth, and his teammate Lewis Hamilton ended up in twentieth place.
Leclerc, as always, openly expressed his frustration with the team's results, calling the situation "very humiliating." The feeling of disappointment became evident when he summarized his impressions during a radio communication with the words: "Oh my God…". These words highlight the deep misunderstanding and real issues that Ferrari faces on the track.
Problems with rain in the qualifying session
Leclerc also commented that the teams in Las Vegas struggle greatly with the weather conditions, which became the main reason for the problems in qualifying. He noted that since joining Ferrari, they have had numerous issues in rainy conditions, which has been quite inconvenient for him.
"Unfortunately, since I joined Ferrari, we have had great difficulties in the rain," Leclerc said. "I can't understand why it doesn't work for us, even though we are trying as best we can," he added, following up with disappointment over the poor performance of the tires in challenging conditions.
Assessment of the situation and the team's future
When asked about their chances in the overall championship competition, Leclerc emphasized that the teams need to focus on improvement. "We are fighting for third place, and perhaps even for second, but the real chances for second place in the constructors' championship will be tough," he noted.
With two race weekends left, there is hope that the team can improve the situation before the season ends.
