The Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has significantly expanded its procurement of unmanned aerial systems. According to information released on October 11, the volume of UAV contracts in 2026 increased by 300% compared to the same period last year.

This substantial increase reflects a major expansion of government orders for unmanned systems, which play a crucial role in modern warfare.

The growth in contracting is taking place within the procurement system of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and is aimed at meeting the Defense Forces' growing demand for unmanned technologies.

The reported figures demonstrate a significant rise in the volume of contracts awarded. However, the actual pace of drone deliveries will depend on manufacturers fulfilling their contractual obligations.

Expanding government procurement of UAVs remains one of the key priorities for strengthening the technological capabilities of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
