Taras Chmut, director of the charitable foundation "Come Back Alive", has been appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) of Ukraine. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedotov emphasized that this decision will help achieve important goals in the war, as Chmut has extensive experience in building effective support systems for Defense Forces.

Why is this appointment important?

According to Mykhailo Fedotov, Taras Chmut, through his work as the head of the "Come Back Alive" foundation, has created one of the most effective systems for meeting military needs. "This appointment will significantly strengthen the Supervisory Board of the DPA, and we hope for positive changes in the procurement procedures," noted the minister.

Key tasks of the DPA under Chmut's leadership

  • Transparency and efficiency: Identifying the real needs of the frontlines and procuring only those goods that have proven effective on the battlefield.
  • Supply control: Reducing delays between payment and delivery, ensuring the quality of equipment.
  • Flexibility of the system: Creating dynamic procurements that quickly respond to the latest technologies.
  • Fighting corruption: Lowering prices through transparent competition.

By assisting in the reforms and optimization of defense procurement, Taras Chmut has previously gained positive experience working on the Supervisory Board of the DPA. His knowledge and experience will be critically important in the conditions of modern warfare.

Currently, all military procurements in Ukraine are carried out by a single Defense Procurement Agency, which, according to the Ministry of Defense, allows for more effective resource management and ensures that military personnel receive the necessary equipment and munitions.
