Quarter-Final Fate to be Decided in Riga

The Ukrainian futsal national team is preparing for a crucial match against the Czech Republic, the result of which will determine their advancement to the quarter-finals of the European Championship 2026. The game will take place today at 20:30 Kyiv time in the Latvian city of Riga.

The team led by Oleksandr Kosenko currently holds second place in the group with three points. To progress to the playoff stage, Ukrainians need to avoid losing to the Czech team. In case of a victory or a draw, the team will guarantee their spot in the next round.

Tournament Situation

In the opening round of the European Championship, Ukrainians unexpectedly lost to Armenia with a score of 1:2, but then secured a victory over Lithuania with a score of 4:1. The Czechs, in turn, drew with Lithuania (3:3) and lost to Armenia (4:5).
