"Ukrenergo" announced the introduction of round-the-clock electricity shutdown schedules on Thursday, January 15, in all regions of Ukraine due to massive Russian missile and drone attacks on critical infrastructure.

Situation in the Capital

Extremely challenging electricity supply modes are in effect in Kyiv: city residents receive electricity only 3 hours per day, with the rest of the time being without power. Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenko reported possible easing of schedules from Thursday evening, provided there are no new attacks.

Regional Specifics

In Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, round-the-clock power outages have been implemented. In some districts, an alternating electricity supply mode is in effect: four hours with electricity, four hours without.

Reasons for Limitations

Energy specialists emphasize that schedules may change due to force majeure circumstances: new Russian bombardments or weather conditions. In particular, recent attacks on combined heat and power plants TEC-5 and TEC-6 left about 400 multi-story buildings in Kyiv without heating.

Ukrenergo specialists urge consumers to track current schedules in their regional energy companies and use electricity as sparingly as possible when it is available.
