Kyiv and Kyiv Region continue to operate under non-standard electricity supply modes due to the consequences of Russian missile attacks on critical infrastructure.

Current Electricity Supply Situation

According to Ukrenergo and DTEK, emergency and stabilization power outages are currently being applied in the capital region. Previous outage schedules are no longer in effect.

Emergency Limitation Details

  • Emergency shutdowns are in effect on the Left Bank of Kyiv
  • Partial electricity restrictions on the Right Bank
  • Emergency shutdowns in Brovary and Boryspil districts

Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak reported that there is currently a gradual transition from emergency restrictions to predictable schedules.

Causes of Problems

The Russian missile attack on the night of January 9th caused massive damage to Kyiv's energy infrastructure. As a result of the shelling, over half of the houses were temporarily left without heat.

Energy workers ask the population to use electricity sparingly during short-term scheduled connections.
